A new strain of Corona could spread further, WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the possibility of a further outbreak of the new strain of coronavirus, Omi Crone, globally.

The WHO says that due to the Omi Cron variant there may be an increase in Corona cases in the future which could have serious consequences, further research is needed on the effect of the Omi Cron variant on immunity.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says data on the effects of the Omi Cron variant on immunity is expected in the next few weeks.

The WHO, in its briefing on Corona's Omi Kroon variant, urges member states to report cases of new Corona variants to clusters, expedite vaccination against Corona and take a risky approach to timely international travel. Use
