Aryan Khan case: Investigators accused of soliciting a bribe of Rs 250 million from Shah Rukh Khan

A witness in the drug case against Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan has alleged that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) investigators demanded Rs 250 million from Shah Rukh's manager for Aryan's release. What was demanded was bribery.

According to NDTV, the witness alleged that the private investigator, whose selfie with Aryan Khan had raised objections, demanded a bribe of Rs 250 million from the superstar to settle the case.

An NCB witness in the case, Prabhakar Sail, who claims to be Karan Gosavi's bodyguard, said that Karan Gosavi demanded a bribe of Rs 250 million, the matter was to be settled at Rs 180 million and the zonal director of the NCB Sameer Wankhede was to be paid Rs 8 crore.

Sameer Wankhede has faced widespread criticism following the allegations.

He also alleged that NCB officials, including Sameer Wankhede, had asked him to sign the blank papers on the morning of October 2 when the NCB raided the cruise ship and detained Aryan Khan and others. ۔

"I had no idea I was a witness. I entered the NCB office when I was called and asked to sign the papers," said Prabhas.

"When I objected to signing the blank papers, Samir Wankhede told me, 'Sign, nothing will happen,'" he added.

"Karan Goswami also asked me to sign. There were so many officials. How could I argue?" Prabhas Sail told NDTV.

He said he was asked to sign at least nine blank pages and that the official who signed him had taken a soft copy of his Aadhaar card.

He added that he had seen Aryan Khan only after he signed the papers.

"Aryan Khan was kept separate from the other accused. I made a video in which Karan Gosavi can be seen sitting with Aryan, which was a video inside the NCB office," said Prabhas Sail.

He alleged that Karan Goswami, Sam de Souza, and Shah Rukh Khan's manager Pooja Dadlani had met in a car for 'Deal'.

"I knew Pooja Dadlani because he is famous. I also googled his name after seeing him," Prabhas said.

He further said that he heard Karan Gosavi talking to a man on the phone apparently talking to De Souza, in which 'I heard the name of Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Gosavi had said that we have asked Shah Rukh's manager for Rs 250 million. We will demand 250 million and settle the matter, hand over Rs. 18 crores.

"They were asked to collect Rs 5 million from the Mahalakshmi area on October 3, the day the NCB raided the cruise ship," said Prabhas.

"When they got there, two men gave them a bag and when they gave it to Karan Gosavi and his wife, they left," he said.

"Karan Gosavi didn't even give me my salary, he gave me a check to pay the children's fees, but it bounced," said Prabhas Sail.

It may be recalled that Shah Rukh Khan's son was arrested along with his accomplices from a cruise ship on the Mumbai beach in early October.

He was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Control Bureau from a cruise party including friends Arbaaz Merchant, Manman Dhamicha, Nupur Srika, Smit Singh, Mohawk Jaswal, Vikrant Chopra, and Gomat Chopra.

Aryan Khan is currently lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Jail along with other accomplices, while two other women, including Manman Dhamicha, who were arrested along with him, have been kept in the women's jail.

Due to the arrest of Aryan Khan and the court proceedings, his case has become a very high-profile case in India and politicians have also jumped on the issue.

Many are calling the arrest of the Muslim actor's son and the court proceedings against him an act against Muslims, while others are calling the case an act of narcotics force.
