 Retra (Special Reporter) Pakistan's Independence Day is celebrated every year on August 14 in the villages of Pakistan. But this year, due to the month of Muharram, it is being celebrated with utmost simplicity and only the necessary events are being held.

Similarly, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at Retra Basic Health Unit. The flag hoisting ceremony was jointly performed by renowned educationist Haji Qadir Bakhsh Malkani and Sardar Amir Akhtar Khan Malkani. The event was attended by a large number of citizens and children including former councilor Mohammad Ashraf Baga, Haji Amir Mohammad Qaisarani, Javed Karim Jarwar, Seth Haji Ibrahim Malkani, Sardar Shafi Khan Lashari. Talking to the media on the occasion, Dr. Rabinwaz Malkani said that the Retra Basic Health Unit is providing the highest and quality health facilities in the entire district. Maternity and ambulance services are available 24 hours a day. Maternal ultrasound is also available. He further said that the role of philanthropists has been significant in improving the BHU Retra and bringing it to its present level which has played a significant role in providing medical facilities to the people of the area. He said that the cooperation of the officers of Dera Ghazi Khan Health Department has been getting at every level due to which we have brought this center on this level. At the end of the ceremony, prayers were offered for the development and security of Pakistan. Earlier, Haji Qadir Bakhsh Malkani and Sardar Amir Akhtar Khan Malkani said that Pakistan came into being due to the interpretation of the dream of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and the sincere efforts and immense leadership abilities of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The role of the countless sacrifices and self-sacrifice of the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent in the establishment of Pakistan is significant. If our brothers and sisters had not sacrificed, we would still be doomed today. He said that unity and consensus is urgently needed for the development, prosperity and unity of Pakistan.
